The final day of the Dramatic Action Awards 2025/26 featured five awards celebrating excellence in dramatic action, directing and performance, before concluding with Best Feature Film.
The David Goodall Award for Excellence in Dramatic Action was presented to Edward Corrie. Named in memory of Scottish fight director David Goodall, the award recognises action performance carried out with skill, commitment and heart. Edward demonstrated all of those qualities throughout his work on River City.

Best Director went to Charlotte Regan for her work on Mint. Although I worked with Charlotte for only one day, she made an immediate impression through her clarity, confidence and ability to get strong results from the production.

The Best Actor Award was presented to Grant O’Rourke for The Incomer. Grant brought warmth, humour and total commitment to the role, while also approaching the film’s action with energy, professionalism and a willingness to solve problems.

Best Actress went to Sharon Rooney for her performance in Sarah Grant’s feature film Fight Me. Sharon brought both emotional strength and humour to a demanding fight sequence that had to serve the story, the characters and the central message of the film.

The final award of the year, Best Feature Film, was presented to The Incomer, directed by Louis Paxton. From the moment I arrived on set, the production felt confident, inventive and exceptionally well assembled. The cast, crew, design, costume, makeup, camera and locations all came together in a film made with enormous skill and heart.

That concludes the Dramatic Action Awards 2025/26: nineteen awards across four days, each one recognising work I witnessed personally on productions over the past year.
