Last week I completed on two (& a bit) weeks of the TV Comedy Show #MrsBrownsBoys#Christmas & #NewYear specials, which I understand are the 2nd highest rating shows on BBC at that time of year and deservedly so.
I was ecstatic to be asked back as I had a terrific time on season 4 earlier in the year. It's a wonderful job with lovely people and the "FAMILY" tag on my crew pass here says it all. The effort these folk put into making us feel at home in a friendly family atmosphere is quite significant!
It's not a busy job for me but it's a tough one as we record in front of a live studio audience. I have to manage a number of safety factors, and people, and I work hard on communications to ensure things go smoothly - but the results are worth the worry and attention to detail.
The design department do much to make my life easy and the stage managers and other crew are a joy to interact with. It's hard to put into words just how talented and hard working these people are. You'd have to see it to believe it. The crew are all at the top of their game. The production personnel, floor manager and assistants, costume and make up, director, sound and camera ops... All are incredible... And the cast are #outstanding. The production is led by Brendan, who storms along, improving and polishing as he drives everything forward.
There's a few very funny stunty moments in these specials. I hope you enjoy watching them as much as I enjoyed coordinating them! #SeizeTheDay
