LAW | Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006

THE VCR ACT 2006

In November 2006 (Although I never saw its effect until October 2007) certain changes in the law were made which affected much of the theatre, film and television world. Sections of this new bill include increased restrictions on the availability of REPLICA FIREARMS and the USE OF SWORDS.

There are allowances for theatre, film and television productions however weapons became much harder to obtain and to move from one place to another so this has an affect on COSTS. Dedicated persons are required to take care of replicas and to insure their safe transit, delivery and usage in productions. Further information in regard to this bill and in regard to the care, maintenance and aquiring of weapons in production will be covered in future site updates.
