Above: A CAT in Fast Romance. Tired of working with actors I have now turned to animals to listen to my direction... Take my advice never attempt to direct cows, they are rubbish actors. This cat however...
How do folks. This is the diary section for those of you that have never been on the site before. It's about all I have time to write up these days, but if you've any requests or suggestions for the site just drop me an email. I'll take this opportiunity to mention that I am not an armourer but a fight director. If you have need of an armourer go to the links section.
I've been back out on Dani's house recently working with my friends Dawn Franklin and Paul Macnamara and again with the excellent director Graeme Harper of Doctor Who fame. Dani's House is a Children's BBC programme I've been working on intermitantly, with a great and funny cast and a real nice feel to it.
I'm back on River City fights again tomorrow where I've been working closely again with some great cast members - Frank Gallagher and Chris Brazier. These guys are great professional people who embue a nice atmosphere, and the same can be said of so many of the crew in there. I've been working with many directors that I get on well with and we've been creating good stuff - despite the shows pre-watershed time slot!
Recent theatre slots have seen me back out with the Citizen's Theatre Glasgow on Top Dog UnderDog and Othello (Othello with the outstanding actor Andrew Clarke) and on The House Of Bernarda Alba with the Scottish National Theatre.
Earlier in the year I was working on working on Black Camel's latest feature, Legacy. Idris Elba and Clark Peters from THE WIRE - a programme I love as you can see from my links to the left - were totally charming and totally briliant, in fact many of the actors were. Anyway look out for that one as it's going to be worth a watch.
